The STEYR AUG A2 is a gas operated semi-automatic . Its bull-pup design makes it a compact, highly reliable, and accurate firearm. The STEYR AUG is renowned for its modular weapon concept, which permits the interchangeability of barrel groups and the ease of field stripping, within seconds. The main difference between the AUG A1 and the AUG A2 is the receiver. The AUG A2 receiver can be equipped with either a Picatinny rail (Mil.Std.1913), which would allow for the mounting of various sighting devices, or the mounting of a 1.5x optic. |
