| The Wiley-X, U.S. company launched some time in the field of eye protection for shooters and professional, proposed for the new model year 2010 Wiley-X Guard, defined as "a lightweight, low profile while providing a high level of protection and unmatched versatility. System X Guard consists of a frame made of black synthetic and three sets of shatterproof lenses in different colors (black smoke, light gray and transparent), quickly interchangeable depending on the needs of the moment, conditions of ambient light for example, providing protection secure against impacts at high speed (read: chips) according to the guidelines ANSI Z87.1-2003 and military specifications MIL-PRF-31013, after overcoming a series of tests which included the impact of projectiles fired a .15 caliber minimum speed of 640 feet per second and with metal balls from 25 "to 150 feet per second. The lenses are polycarbonate to selenite, with T-Shell Hardcoat scratch resistant coating, and are designed for the application of additional lenses for those with sight problems. |
